New Speaker: Niran Amir from Picapp

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 | speakers

Picapp.comI’m pleased to announce that Niran Amir from Picapp.com will joining us on Sunday for a quick presentation on Picapp and their WordPress plugin.

Here is some info about PicApp:

Add the best stock photos to your blog – for free!

Great stock photos cost thousands, right? Wrong.
With PicApp, you can enhance your blog with the same photos used by the pros, without paying a cent.
Adding PicApp photos to your blog is as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Enter your search term into PicApp’s search box.
2. Click the “search” button.
3. Voila! Select from millions of high-quality stock photos and embed the chosen image in your blog.

Why PicApp? Because a picture’s worth the difference between an average blog and one that rocks!

I first found out about PicApp at BlogWorldExpo. I’m looking forward to learning more about it this weekend!

@Miraz Matt will likley do a similar update in Wellington That State of the Word was at the SF wordcamp a few weeks back

Officially on vacation for two weeks. One with the kids, one only with my wife. Oh, and there's a WordCamp in between the two.

Ahh tout le monde parle du WordCamp Montréal et c'est la seule semaine de l'année où je ne suis pas à Montréal et que je ne peux changer! :(

@brettmorrison that seems to be the consensus. Calling it a wordcamp when it's not a wordcamp.

@wptavern I think the virtual conf looks like a fine virtual conf/training, but I don't like calling it a WordCamp. Needs to be trademarked

if 'WordCamp' were to become a registered trademark, who do you think should own it? Matt? Automattic? Someone else?
