When you say something online, you better be ready for somebody to call you on it!
A while back we mentioned that we’d be opening registration on 8/23. Well, that’s today. Unfortunately, we aren’t quite ready. We are feverishly working on the registration portion of the site and expect it to be finished in the next day or so.
Sorry for the delay and we’ll let you know AS SOON as we are ready!
Cheers!
Registration is set to open in less than a week. It must be time to start announcing some speakers! We are thrilled to announce the first four confirmed speakers for WordCamp Las Vegas:
Brandon Dove
After spending time with Brandon at WordCamp in Los Angeles, New York and Orange County, there was no doubt we wanted him as a presenter here in Las Vegas. He’s a great WordPress designer/developer and we are excited to have him.
John Lynn
So many of the attendees I’ve met at the 15 or so WordCamp events I’ve been to are looking to quit their jobs and become full-time bloggers. John is one of a handful of guys I know who’s made that leap. His overnight success took roughly 5 years and I’m anxiously awaiting to hear his presentation on the subject.
Doug Daulton
Doug is a long time friend and colleague. I’m the guy that hired him for the job that brought him to Las Vegas. Thankfully he doesn’t hold that against me! Doug has been building networks both on and offline for longer than I’ve known him and I’m really looking forward to hearing him present about his work with BuddyPress.
Joseph Scott
I first met Joseph at WordCamp Las Vegas in January, 2009. I’ve since had the pleasure of hearing him present at half a dozen other events. His technical knowledge extends far beyond WordPress and his presentations are always highly informative. I’ve learned something new every time we’ve crossed paths and I’m looking forward to continuing that trend.
You already know this, but the WordPress community is awesome in its generosity! I can’t thank these guys enough for donating their time to come out and share some of their WordPress knowledge with you.
Check out the speaker page for bios and links to their blogs and twitter.
